No Excuses.

No-Excuses
(A headshot from a recent headshot session with one of my best friends, Calin Wilson)

I ran into one of my former teachers a couple days ago in a local Walgreens. We haven’t seen each other in about ten years, but she had one question for me: “Are you still taking pictures?”

Well, that’s a very good question. As of right now, no: I have work, my computer is too slow, I’m not satisfied with my portfolio at the moment, I don’t know any models in Miami, I don’t have time… blah, blah, blah.

I listened for a second to the BS that was spilling out of my mouth and stopped talking. Every single one of those excuses are pathetic; if one truly wants to do something, they make time. So, I made some tangible changes. Three days ago I purchased a Nikkor 85mm f/1.8, and yesterday a new Macbook Pro to increase my workflow. To be frank, I’m tired of my excuses. I want to do something again, I want to be productive.

So I will. And that’s the end of that.
